Farmer's Market

There is just no excuse that I should not buy local produce all the time, but I don't, but really I should be. So I made it a point to go more often than I have in the past. I've already been three times this year, that's a good start.

We have a local farmer's market (really local, like a 10 minute drive) twice a week, it's a pretty large one, with lots of vendors offering the best of best of the season. However, I find it sometimes difficult as the timing always seems to conflict with other scheduled plans. And the Saturday one is hard for us to get out of the house early enough to beat the crowds and get the non-picked-over produce. But I've made the effort and really find myself enjoying it. This is why I love Southern Cali, year round farmer's markets. I also made my way to another farmer's market by the beach. What a great combo, fresh food and fresh beachy air. I would love to attend this one more, although it's a much smaller one with less vendors, but it's still close enough though.
