We've made it through the first month, I am both sad (she's growing so fast) and happy (she has developed so much and her personality is surfacing each day) at the same time.
We went to her one month well baby check-up last Tuesday. Of course the insurance still had not added her to the hubs policy even though we submitted the paperwork soon after she was born, so I had to pay out of pocket. I'll be reimbursed once it kicks in, but still, what a hassle.
Her check up went well, we found out that she is eating well and gaining weight. Her birth weight was 7 lbs 10 oz and at her check up she was already over 10 lbs. Her length was 23 inches, a growth of 3 inches. WOW, I've got a big baby on my hands. She is already in the 90th percentile for her height and 75th percentile for weight.
She is starting to react when I speak to her and has even given me a mini smile on several occasions. She poops like crazy, does not like tummy time, and likes to be held a lot, which is why I decided to invest in a sling, hopefully it should get here pretty soon. I totally don't mind holding her, they say you can't spoil a baby at this age.
Oh and she makes the funniest faces, she also prefers to sleep on one side of her head. We have tried to position her in different directions to get her to change how she lays on her head, but that has not worked so I have taken it upon myself to diligently move her head every time I see that it not in the correct position.
Some days are a bit challenging than others, but honestly it so very worth. I've also learned to get by on less sleep anyway.

I can't believe it's been a month too and I haven't met her. That makes me sad. :( I will just have to make up for thay time tomorrow. :)
