Her Name Revealed

I'm 36 weeks along, I've gained about 30lbs and probably will add a few more in the next several weeks, not too shabby. I've had only a few stretchies that are not noticeable to anyone but me, which is really surprising since I have been prone to them in the past during my growing years. Other news, last Thursday I had my check up with an ultrasound to see how baby was positioned, and I'm glad to report that her head is down and everything looks good. My OBGYN also did the routine Strep B test. At the meeting she also mentioned that if I were to go into labor at anytime from that point forward, she would not stop it. It really feels good to be considered full term.

I feel pretty energetic still, the only thing is my feet get sore when I'm on it for a while and they are quite swollen. Happy to mention that my last day of work was this past Friday, so I have been nesting ever since. I cannot even express the excitement that is running through me right now.

We may have found a pediatrician. I have a few more I need to meet with. The one doctor we met was really nice and was referred to me by my hair stylist. His attitude is great and we felt comfortable, the only thing that was a turn off was his office was a little outdated as far as decor goes. Wood paneling??? nuff said.

I also wanted to mention that my shower hosted by my Friends Jolene, Rhisie, and Alyssa, was super awesome. I cannot thank them enough. I enjoyed every moment of it. I am blessed to have such great and talented friends. Everything from the decor to the food was perfect. The guests seemed to have enjoyed themselves and I also scored some very cool gifts. The hubs showed up towards the end for some cake and to assist with opening the gifts. My favorite part of the shower was definitely when guests were asked to write letters to RAFFAELLA (yes, that's her name =D )from mom and dad. Then the hubs and I were asked to read it out loud. Some were funny and some were serious, they made me laugh and teary eyed all at the same time because it really hit me that this was for real, in a few short weeks my life is about to change forever and for the better of course.

It looked so beautiful, Kay! I'm so happy for you!

And Raffaella! Such a beautiful name! I always had a secret thing for that name (albeit spelled a little differently - Raphaella I think) since reading it in a Danielle Steel novel years ago. It's so romantic and unique! Nice choice :)

I am so very excited and happy for you!
