First off, I just want to share that I am almost 35 weeks along, I can’t believe I really only have 1 more week before I am considered full-term. Which means baby can come any day after 36 weeks. But I really believe she will be an on time baby!!
On Saturday, we completed our Infant CPR class. It was informative even though the instructor made everyone fear for their lives if they asked any questions. She was not very nice at all, but we still came out with the knowledge we needed in the event that we ever had to use CPR.
Later on in the day Sis in Law and her two boys, MIL and her boyfriend all congregated at our house for a get together that was planned a few weeks ago. Sis in law drove down from the Antelope Valley to hang out and spend the night. They tried to keep our job of entertaining to a minimum, by bringing pre-formed hamburgers, macaroni salad, chips and dips, and drinks; it was very thoughtful of them. However, being 8 ½ months pregnant I was still overwhelmed. I went to bed early, while I left the hubs alone to entertain his sister and nephews.
I didn’t realize how limited our guest living space was, since the baby’s room, which was originally the guest room is no more. We now only have one room for guests to stay in and that is the den. However it’s got only one full size sleeper so at most I can only have 2-3 people sleeping over. I think his sister and her boys slept okay though. I am sure I’ll have some family from my side visiting from the east coast soon enough since they will all want to see the baby. I’ll have to just schedule them at separate times.
Sunday we all went to breakfast at Denny’s thanks to Sister in Law, who treated. Her real estate business is doing very well, quite the opposite of what most would think since the economy has gone sour at the moment. We then hung out some more until around 2:30, when we all headed to the OC for my baby shower. It was co-ed, so the hubs was there with me. It was a really nice and beautiful set-up. They had pink, brown, and white balloons up, and there was a 5-tier diaper cake, it was beautifully made by his cousin with sweet little baby items hanging from it. The party was simple and easy going; she served sandwiches, potato salad, and had a fruit and vegetable platter. Then we played a few games, like Stork Bingo and Animal Offspring Naming, and then it was time to open presents.

We really appreciated all the wonderful gifts. Of course his family is not one to get things off the registry so we ended up with 3 bouncers. It was rather funny! I don’t think the baby will be needing 3 bouncers, so we will be returning a couple =D. We also received tons and tons of cute baby clothes in pink of course. His sister and her family gave us a very nice and useful gift off the registry, the Summer Infant Color Video Monitor. This will come in very handy when the baby gets here and definitely will give us piece of mind. Thanks again guys for giving a great must have item!!! Another awesome gift and very unexpected indeed, the hub’s aunt, who also is his god mother, and who also hosted our shower gave us a Bob Revolution jogging stroller from REI, so kudos and much love to her. I am so going to use it when I can start working out again. It was a fun day. It's really great to know that we have people who care enough to shower with so much love and gifts.

Now we are almost through this week and I have another exciting weekend coming up. I will be showered again, this time mainly by my friends. This shower is being hosted by my girlfriends Jolene and Rhisie, who is keeping the details of the party closely guarded from me. I got to the see the invite though, which I have to say were beautiful and totally me. With those two hosting this shower, I know it will be way stylish. I’m going to be surrounded by my friends and it should make for a really magical shower.
